Hi, welcome to the first PlanLimits issue. We track what each AI coding subscription includes and the usage limits each vendor states. Below is what's changed in 2026 so far, plus a quick price table.
What changed
- GitHub Copilot moved to AI Credits (2026-06-01). Premium requests were replaced by token-based GitHub AI Credits on all plans (1 credit = $0.01). Monthly totals: Pro 1,500, Pro+ 7,000, Max 20,000. Code completions stay unlimited on paid plans. - Gemini CLI to Antigravity (2026-06-18). Gemini CLI and the Code Assist IDE extensions stopped serving Google AI Pro, Ultra and free individual users. Google now points them to Antigravity CLI. - Codex 5-hour window: suspended, then restored for Plus. On 2026-07-12 OpenAI temporarily removed the 5-hour limit (weekly limits stayed), and OpenAI Support called it temporary (https://community.openai.com/t/why-the-5-hour-reset-missing/1386707). It came back for Plus on 2026-08-25. OpenAI's pricing page now says Pro plans currently have no five-hour limit (https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/pricing). - Cursor is now sold as part of The X Subscription. Paid plans share one weekly usage pool across Cursor and Grok.
